Rob Stannard (BA MA DipArch RIBA) studied interior design for 4 years before taking up his first design job in Cambridge. After a year working as an interior designer Rob moved to CAMAL Architects where he worked for over 10 years on both interior and architectural projects ranging in value from £50,000 to £5 million as an Associate Director.

His experience covers the residential, commercial and educational sectors and he has a particular interest in conservation design and historic buildings. He has worked on projects within Conservation Areas, on properties covered by Article 4 directions as well as gaining approvals for the successful renovation, extension and conversion of Listed Buildings.

Rob is a qualified Architect and a chartered member of the RIBA, he also holds a Masters degree in Architecture and Cultural Studies that focused on the development and history of the Suffolk Landscape and its cultural and architectural history.

He now runs Sones Stannard with the specific intention of providing domestic clients with affordable design, planning and conservation advice.
